Believe, every one of us is a prophet. You will agree with me after reading my views.
On 1st January every year, almost all the preachers in the world declare that Jesus / God / Lord spoke to them and gave the prophecy for the new year. They share the best verse from the scriptures. We are all excited. Our faith increases, along with our hope. We rejoice that our cup is going to overflow.
My views:
I do not know how many of these new year prophets have really spoken to God and our Lord Jesus Christ. Very few may be.
God has given HIS word to all of us. Not restricted to few. Every one of us can claim blessings as we are HIS children. We have the right to ask our portion from our Father.
If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? (Mathew chapter 6 verse 30). So we need really a very big faith to have big blessings.
An actor's son acts his father. Industrialist sons and daughters live like their father. The politician children become politicians. So, if we are the children of our Father in heaven who created earth and heaven, living and non-living, then we must live like him. Then we can claim the promise he has given to us. God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number. (The book of Genesis, chapter 1 and verse 28). We increase.
Hence, the prophecies proclaimed by all the preachers
1) May not be really from God.
2) Maybe given to a specific person, or a group or a community
Otherwise, one GOD, could have shared the one prophecy to these multitudes of prophets living among us. We will not hear hundreds of new year prophecies.
So, we have to speak to our Lord Jesus directly and get our blessings. Read HIS words regularly and spiritually. We will have our won blessings. The blessings given to us may not be the same to the blessings given to another one.
I have fallen a number of times in my life. But every time my Lord Yeshua, Jesus Christ lifted me.
Every time HE gives me a promise and fulfills it.
I believe that HE speaks to me and direct me. Surely my cup over flows.
