The second level spiritual attainment is very critical as it
is difficult to sustain at this level. At
this level, we are above the religion and symbols. You are not a catholic; you
are not a protestant or Anglican. The first sign of being in this level is that
when you pray, you do not ask anything for you. In fact, you do not know what to
ask for you. The only prayer will be to attach you to the Almighty. You want
only HIS presence with you. You may pray
for others. Otherwise you try to submerge with him. You will start to see that
whatever happening in your life is according to his wish. You will allow God to
mould you, form you freely. Visualize and feel that you are at his feet. You
hug him. You are leaning on his shoulder like a son leaning on his father. Oh!,
how sweet is this moment.
It is difficult to sustain at this level. The world pressure,
need of the moment and uncontrollable human thought process are the reasons for
the slippage. Like a monkey, mind is started jumping here and there. The focus
lost. Free falling from this level. Try
again and again and again.
The third level or the peak level is to mingle with the
Great Almighty creator. The body and mind becomes his temple. St.Paul reminds
us that the body is the temple of Jesus Christ. We do not have any right over
this body. We realize that our ultimate aim is to be with God in HIS presence
and we have nothing to in this world.
With the same spiritual attainment only, right from St.Thomas, all the
early Christian missionaries came to India, sacrificed their life to share the
Truth of life, word of God. I do not
have the hope that I can attain this level. In Indian context, this state is
called Aham Brahmam Asmi. It is
actually, “ Iam I am”. (I may not be
correct. I write what I feel. You are free to take this or not).
That’s why when God our Father introduces himself as “I am”. ( The meaning of Jehovah is “ I am”). Also,
he introduces as “God of Abraham, God of Isaac and God of Jacob”. He never
introduced himself as that I am so and so with proper noun.
In India, many Rishis and Sadhus have experimented to reach
him. We do not know they have attained this
level. I cannot comment that the path they chose is correct or not.
What do I know is that we can attain this superior level in
the spiritual journey through our Lord Jesus Christ.
I will share few of my personal experiences why I do I believe
(I have not attained. I believe that one can attain) that you can reach or submerge oneself with
the creator, God almighty, our Father through Jesus Christ.
